Energy efficient Fan Wheels for Air Handling Units

Indoor air handling units (AHUs) for offices, shopping malls, clinics, warehouses and other commercial and municipal facilities require a combination of high efficiency, good acoustics and long service life. They reliably provide clean air to people in the buildings without creating drafts or irritating noise.

Energy efficiency and acoustics play a particularly important role in the design of the centrifugal fan used for air handling systems. But they should also be dimensioned to be as resource-efficient as possible in terms of space requirements and the effort required for installation and maintenance. The main component of a fan for influencing product characteristics is the fan wheel.

The fan impellers of the punker General HVAC series have been specially developed for use in air handling units that have to meet the highest energy efficiency requirements, such as those specified by the ErP Directive or the Fan Efficiency Index (FEI). With their impeller geometry optimized for efficiency, General HVAC fan impellers cover a very wide operating range with maximum efficiency. This gives manufacturers of air conditioning units and plug fans for AHUs the opportunity to drastically reduce their number of variants and thus the costs and effort involved in supplier and warehouse management.
